Almost 600 offers of accommodation to house Ukrainian refugees made locally

Almost 600 offers of accommodation to Ukrainian refugees have been made across the Northern Sound region.

Nationwide, close to 23,000 pledges of accommodation have been made to house those fleeing war.

Figures released to Northern Sound from the Irish Red Cross reveals that 352 offers have been made in Cavan.

247 pledges have been made across Co Monaghan.

The Irish Red Cross says communities within Ireland are welcoming Ukrainian refugees in a way they've never done before.
