Annual rent increases of 19% and 13% across Cavan and Monaghan

Rents in Co Cavan increased by close to 19% in the year to March, with an average price of €970.

That's according to property website Daft.ie, which also found that rents increased by almost 13% over the same period in Co Monaghan, to €960.

The biggest increase was in Leitrim, at nearly 25 per cent.

Daft.ie has also found that rents are increasing at the highest rate since 2016, and Ronan Lyons, author of the report, says rental prices are growing very sharply outside the capital.
