Appeal issued by Gardai over fatal Louth collision

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with camera footage to come forward

Gardaí are continuing their investigation into the crash that killed five young people in Co Louth.

The victims were Chloe McGee from Carrickmacross , Alan McCluskey from Drumconrath, Dylan Commins from Ardee who were all aged 23, and Shay Duffy from Carrickmacross and Chloe Hipson from Scotland both were age 21.

Forensic officers and the State Pathologist have examined the scene and both vehicles have now been removed for further analysis.

The remains of the five have been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where post-mortems will take place in the coming days.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with camera footage between 8.30 and 9.15 on the night to contact them.

Ó Fiaich College principal Padraig McGovern is remembering Chloe McGee, who taught at the school in Dundalk.
