Gardaí in Co Monaghan are appealing for information in relation to a number of reported burglaries. Garda Tracy Donaghy of Carrickmacross Garda Station is encouraging anyone with information to come forward and assist Gardai with their investigations. Gardai are appealing for information in relation to a burglary at a home in Modesse, Castleblayney. This took place just after 2pm on the afternoon of Thursday the 20th of February. The house was forcibly entered and property taken. Gardaí are interested in speaking with the occupant of a navy Volkswagen Golf car which was in the Modesse area at the time. Gardai are also investigating a burglary at a home in Keenogbane, Ballybay. This burglary took place on the evening of Tuesday the 25th of February between 6:30pm and 9pm. The house was forcibly entered and a number of items were stolen. If you were in the area of Keenogbane and noticed any usual activity Gardaí in Ballybay would like to hear from you. Elsewhere, investigations are continuing into a burglary in Shantonagh. The incident were a burglary took place between 6pm on the 25th of February and 6pm on the 26th of February. A shed in the area was broken into and a number of tools were stolen. Gardai in Carrickmacross are continuing with their enquires and would like to hear from anyone with information.
