Kingscourt Castle Ltd has applied to Cavan County Council on behalf of Cabra Castle in Kingscourt for 800 panel solar farm on its grounds.
The farm will consist of ground and roof mounted panels complete with associated cabling and inverters.
The application also includes landscaping and all ancillary works.

Meanwhile, the proposed development will be within the curtilage of a protected structure.
