Seven artworks by Monaghan students have gone on exhibition at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny.
All pieces were winning works from a number of recent Texaco Children's Art Competitions.
Two are by Frances Treanor, from Tydavnet. The first, entitled 'Lighting Up The Imagination' won third prize in the 14-15 years age category in 2012, and the second, a self-portrait, saw Frances win the overall competition in 2015.
Other winning Monaghan artworks to feature at the exhibition are: 'The Runner' by Mary Kate Conlon, a pupil at Scoil Naoimh Éanna, Carrickmacross - which won third prize in the 7-8 years age category in 2023.
'The Haunted Tree' by Shane McKenna, a pupil at Scoil Naoimh Éanna, Killanny - which won third prize in the 7-8 years category in 2022; 'Everything But The Kitchen Sink' by Katie Cumiskey, previously from Our Lady's Secondary School, Castleblaney - which won third prize in the 16-18 years category in 2020; 'Ros Mór Rúnda' by Aoibhín MacCinna, a pupil at Coláiste Oiriall, Monaghan - which won second prize in the 12-13 years age category in 2020; and 'The Nice Flowers' by Sophia Goodman, previously from Scoil Naoimh Éanna, Carrickmacross, which won third prize in the 7-8 years category in 2015.
The exhibition, which features over 40 winning artworks from 16 counties, is open to the public from 11am - 5pm Tuesday to Friday. It is also open from 1pm - 5pm on Saturdays only until the 7th of June and admission is free.
