Gardaí continue to investigate a two-car road traffic collision on the R132 at Dowdallshill in Dundalk, Co Louth, on Saturday 6th December 2025.
The infant boy, a passenger in one of the cars, has since passed away at Children's Health Ireland, Temple Street.
Gardaí continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R132 in the Dowdallshill area between 7:50pm and 8:20pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
