As the festive season begins in earnest and Christmas lights are turned on across the region, the countdown to Christmas is now certainly on.
This evening at 5pm, Santa himself will arrive to switch on the Christmas lights in Bailieboro.
Seamus Rahill from the local Christmas lights committee says preparations have been well underway with over 15 volunteers working hard to brighten up the town for the festive period.
He said without the local support to get the lights up it wouldn't be possible each and every year.
Bailieboro Christmas Lights is a group of volunteers who have come together on an annual basis to ensure that the Town of Bailieboro is lit up to celebrate Christmas.
Seamus says it's a real community effort and that a great evening is in store in Bailieboro this evening.
