The Ballybay Road in Monaghan Town has been closed following a road traffic collision.
Two vehicles are involved and it's understood no serious injuries have occurred.
Gardai are appealing on motorists to avoid the area at the time.

The road is expected to be closed for the coming hours to allow for the vehicles involved in the collision to be removed.
One person, a male in his 60s, was brought to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries are reported at this time.
