Ballyjamesduff man creates app predicting the Northern Lights

A Ballyjamesduff man has created an app that will predict when the Northern Lights will occur.

The application that Aaron Kelly has developed was published on the play store in recent weeks. The idea behind the app is targeted at basic and advanced users to help predict Aurora.

Northern Lights Alerts is a data driven Northern Lights forecasting tool. According to Aaron the aim of the app is to inform people of what to expect and when to expect it.

The Ballyjamesduff resident says the free app is about sharing the amazing sight of the Northern Lights which is rare and it gives a chance for as many people to see it as possible.
