GardaI is investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man on a rural road outside of Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, this morning.
The body of the man, aged in his 50s, has been removed from the scene to Cavan General Hospital where a post mortem will take place in due course.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
