Body of a man in his 40s removed from scene this evening

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Clones, Co. Monaghan last night. 

 The body of a man was discovered at approximately 10pm at a residence at Clones, Monaghan. The scene was preserved for technical examination.

The body has since been removed from the scene and will be taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan tomorrow morning for post mortem examination, the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
