The bones unearthed on a building site in Blacklion recently are not human. The skeletal remains have been found to be those of an animal.
On Thursday, authorities were called to the site near Loughan House outside Blacklion village after workers came across the bones during building work.
The Coronoer's Office was notified and the scene sealed off to allow a technical and forensic examination on Friday. The Chief State Anthropologist determined the bones were the remains of an animal.
