Book of condolence opens in Derry after drowning tragedy

'It will be a challenge for all of us to work with them through these very difficult days'

The bishop of Derry says the community will rally around the loved ones of two 16-year olds who lost their lives in a drowning accident.

The boys - both classmates at St Columb's College - have been named as Reuven Simon and Joseph Sebastian.

A book of condolence has been opened at the Guildhall.

Bishop Donal McKeown says the city's South Indian community will need support at this time:

"This will be a challenge for the Indian community to confront this reality and is one that faces all of us," he added.

"And it will be a challenge for all of us to work with them through these very difficult days."
