Jeffrey Donaldson has resigned as leader of the DUP.
The party's chairman has received a letter from Jeffrey Donaldson confirming that he's been charged with allegations of an historical nature. Gavin Robinson has been appointed as Interim party leader. His membership of the DUP is suspended pending the outcome of a judicial process.
Jeffrey Donaldson was the leader of the party in the UK's House of Commons since 2019.
