Budding entrepreneurs across Monaghan have been encouraged to join Monaghan Enterprise's new online 'Start Your Own Business' programme.
The programme is designed to be a practical workshop, aimed specifically at those considering starting their own business.
The course is also for those who wish to learn how to avoid common pitfalls, reduce risk and progress their ideas and is available on various dates throughout November.
According to Pamela Kerr from Monaghan Enterprise, the business sector saw an increase of 17 per cent in start-up businesses.
However, this also came with a failure rate of 35 per cent due to a number of reasons.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Pamela believes this new course can reduce that failure rate by identifying the risks involved, and informing local businesses on how to overcome them:
