Immediate action is required to ensure that Cavan residents commuting to and from Dublin have access to a dependable, efficient, and fair public transport system.
That's the call by Cllr Áine Smith who is asking the National Transport Authority and Bus Eireann to urgently review and improve the current service.
Cllr Smith highlighted how several persisting issues are negatively affecting commuters, and require urgent immediate attention.
She said more buses or more direct buses to and from Dublin was needed.
Cllr Smith said commuters are contacting her about the lack of space on buses and in some cases buses that were expected are not even showing up.
The Co Cavan Fianna Fail councillor her call is about having a better public transport system for the people of Cavan.
