Cavan-Monaghan TD Cathy Bennett is calling on the Government to ensure that an MRI scanner will be in place at Monaghan Hospital before the end of the year.
The HSE confirmed back in October that a new MRI scanner would be installed at the local hospital.
Following numerous requests from local politicians as to when that would be, the HSE confirmed that a scanner would become operational within an estimated 18-month timeframe.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Bennett described this timeframe as completely unacceptable.
