Survival rates from cancer are dependent on a postcode lottery according to the Irish Cancer Society.
The Irish Cancer Society says delays in access to screening and treatment in some parts of the country are putting lives at risk.
The charity says one in four people, with suspected breast or prostate cancer, were waiting longer than recommended for vital testing, between March last year and February this year.
It's published new data which shows 'shocking' variations in the availability to cancer testing and treatments depending on where you live.
Its found delays in some areas for urgent referrals for both prostate and breast cancer.
Its also discovered huge differences in access to life-saving chemo and radiation therapies in various parts of the country.
