Car seized by Cavan Policing Unit

Gardaí in Cavan seized a car over the weekend.

Cavan Roads Policing Unit noticed a car due to erratic driving at a junction.

When stopped, the learner driver was not accompanied and had no L plates displayed.

Gardaí then discovered the NCT was expired, as was the Road Tax.

Further investigation showed the car had two excessively worn tyres.

The car was seized and Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were issued to the driver.

Gardaí are reminding people of the importance of always checking your tyres.
