Caution advised over fire close to N2

Gardaí in Carrickmacross are encouraging motorists to be mindful when travelling along the N2 this evening.

Gardaí in Carrickmacross are advising motorists to be "vigilant" due to a fire close to the N2. According to Gardaí the fire took place on a farm in the Tullyvaragh area.

Smoke is now billowing onto the N2 due to winds with Gardaí warning motorists to be cautious when travelling on this stretch of road.
