Cavan woman Tina Kellegher says starring in the iconic film the Snapper was very enjoyable and she says it was a gift.
Tina says she still gets younger people who are only discovering the film now telling her how much they liked it.
The low budget film was released 32 years ago and is one of the best-loved Irish films of all times and always a big hit over the festive period.
Twenty-year-old Sharon Curley played by Tina Kellegher finds herself after a boozy night on the town, pregnant and refuses to divulge the identity of the baby's father.
Eventually, the not-so-proud dad is exposed, bringing new levels of embarrassment and complication to the devout Roman Catholic Curley household.
Tina who lives in Mullingar but who grew up in Cavan says the movie holds a special place in the hearts of many Irish families.
