A number of people were hospitalised following a major incident in Virginia last night.
Five youths were arrested following the major public order incident in Virginia.
They remain in custody this morning in both Cavan and Bailieboro Garda Stations over the alleged assaults.
A significant number of Gardai were swiftly on the scene of two incidents at both Lough Ramor and the Main Street of the town.
A Garda source confirmed to Northern Sound that a number of individuals required medical attention following this incident and are believed to have been taken to Cavan General Hospital.
Gardai say there investigations are continuing this morning following last nights public order incident.
