A new car insurance index report by Chill Insurance has revealed Cavan and Monaghan as being ranked in the top five most expensive counties to insure your car in.
The average price for car insurance in Monaghan is €833 and €829 in Cavan.
Longford is the most expensive county with an average cost of €1,042.
That was followed by Louth and Limerick and then 4th and 5th expensive was Monaghan and Cavan. Car insurance prices can vary significantly depending on where you live.
