The Cavan branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association is at a critical point with service delivery.
That's according to its co-ordinator, Ruth Fox, who met with local public representatives in the Dail this week to discuss the matter further.
The Association also submitted its pre budget submission to Government in which it highlights the supports needed for necessary service delivery.
Meanwhile, Ms Fox says pay parity must be addressed so that IWA doesn't continue "losing staff" to the HSE.
She added that this situation is having a particularly negative impact on service users.
"It means that people who use our service are only getting to attend our centre once every 2 weeks. It's very poor for them. Previously they would attend twice a week. The main factors behind the reductions are, I suppose, number 1 the loss of our CE places which was 8 in 2020 and it's now 0. We're asking for a change in the allocation of the funding from the CE schemes which is non existent in our service here, to call for funding for our positions".
