Bus driver Aodhán OhArrachtáin who is based in Co Cavan put his name forward in recent weeks for a nomination for a presidential bid.
During his exchanges in council chambers across the country he spoke poignantly about his own battle with mental health.
Aodhán says he reached a low point in March of this year and attempted suicide by drowning.

He is now a strong advocate for mental health and also said housing is seen an asset but it should be a right. The bus driver based in Mullagh says he hopes to now work with SOSAD in a bid to help others. Aodhán says if we can have a conversation about this and it helps one person that will be a win.
