Cavan Chef releases first cook book

A Cavan Chef has released his brand new cook book.

Chef Shane Smith, a Lavey native, has just released his first cook book, Loaf Tin Bakes.

This book aims to give people 80 recipes they can do using a 2lb loaf tin.

Chef Smith said that among the 80 recipes is a mix of sweet and savoury.

Shane outlined that in college it became clear that pastries was a side he wanted to specialise in, and was inspired by his mother and both grannies.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, he said he's excited to take part in a book signing this weekend.
