A Co Cavan firefighter sustained injuries while on call during Storm Isha. The incident took place on Monday morning when he was in the line of duty attending a call related to the storm. In a statement issued to Northern Sound, a spokesperson from Cavan County Council described the "welfare" of the injured firefighter as an "immediate priority."
Cavan County Council is providing all possible support to their colleague and his family, as well as his crew mates. While wishing him a "swift and full recovery" the local authority asks for privacy for the injured crew member and his family at this time.
