The Cavan-Leitrim Railway museum is to reopen next weekend for Heritage Week. The museum which is located in Dromod, Co Leitrim was successful in getting funding under the Community Grant Scheme 2023.
This funding allowed for the relaying of up to 1km of narrow gauge railway track and restored locomotives, and rolling stock. Alongside the opening announcement the museum has published a book detailing the Bord na Móna railways in the midlands.
The museum will be open this Saturday and Sunday the19th and 20th of August.
