A Cavan man has embraced the government's decision to introduce an undercover lorry to monitor our roads.
Dowra resident and vice president of the Irish Road Haulage Association, Gerry McMorrow, said that any effort to help road safety should be 'welcomed.'
The lorry's aim is to detect distracted driving, including the use of mobile phones.
The decision was making the headlines yesterday and was met by mixed reactions, with Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae calling it a 'knee-jerk' reaction to the rising number of road deaths.
