A Co Cavan teenager has won big at this years Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year 2024 awards.
5th year student at Virginia College, Cian Conachy received the 'Best Director' award at the FreshFilm Award ceremony for his film 'Showtime' Cian wrote and directed the production that was filmed at the Ramor Theatre in Viriginia.
The local teenager is already working on another film that he hopes will be completed over the summer. He is hoping people across Cavan will get behind him to back the production financially. Cian says he was delighted to be honoured at the national event.
