Cavan Town tidy towns has been awarded a Pollinator Award at Tidy Town's competition in Croke Park today.
The town also picked up a gold medal, and were the winners of the Co. Cavan award.
Mr. Lynch thanked all the volunteers, and the people who worked with the committee over the past three or four years.
Paul Lynch from Cavan Tidy Towns explained that there was a focus on biodiversity this year, with a number of wildflower gardens across the town.
He explained that biodiversity and pollinators are really important part of the Tidy Town's competition, and they wanted to play a role.
