A Cavan Filipino citizen is to be awarded one of the highest honours in the Philippines for her advocacy work in Ireland.
Vanda Brady is well known across the county for her popular show 'My Journey Home' which is broadcast on Northern Sound every Sunday from 8pm.
The Mullahoran resident will receive her award next week for the Presidential Awards for Filipino individuals and Organisations Overseas.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Vanda says a major part of her work has been helping people from the Filipino community to settle into the country, by bringing people together and informing them about services that they need in order to help them integrate.
