CMETB seeking Department approval to lease Monaghan Town premises for practical skills training

CMETB is seeking approval from the Department of Education to lease premises in Monaghan Town to run practical skills training.

The lease of space in the Milltown Business Park would be for an initial three-year period, while Monaghan Institute awaits the construction of an extension to its campus.

This would provide additional space to run practical skills training like electrical, upholstery, and OEM apprenticeships.

At a recent CMETB meeting, Councillor Seán Conlon commended the education body for its "haste" in developing this proposal and called it "great news".
