A total of 106 council homes are vacant in the Northern Sound region.
The findings were received through a Freedom of Information request submitted by Aontú leader, Peadar Tóibín.
The breakdown shows that Co. Cavan holds the highest number of vacant council houses in the region, at 86.
While there are 20 unoccupied council homes in Co. Monaghan.
The data has also revealed that 2,305 people across the region are on waiting lists for a house.
