As part of the Irish Foster Care Association's Fostering Awareness Week 2024, the association will be planting a tree in the Con Smith Park in Cavan this Friday, March 8th. The event will take place at 1:30pm with Cathaoirleach Cllr Philip Brady to symbolise the roots of foster care in every community in Ireland and as a symbol of hope for the future of foster care in Ireland. Fostering Awareness Week takes place this year from today until this Friday. This year's theme 'Growing Hope, Fostering the Future' seeks to highlight the hugely impactful and positive role a foster care placement can have in a child or young person's life.
