Commissioner says measures in place to ensure no repeat of attacks on Gardaí

The Garda Commissioner says measures are in place to ensure there isn't a replica of the attack on Garda Padraig Scott.

The Roscommon-native was hospitalised following an assault while on patrol in Blacklion last February.

The 29 year old also had a gun pointed at him and was doused in petrol.

Drew Harris said safety of garda members is a priority for him, and speaking after a Policing Authority meeting in Monaghan added that he wants steps taken to prevent a repeat incident.
