Concerns Raised Over Councillor Distribution in Monaghan Municipal Districts

The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council has raised concerns about the breakdown of councillors in Monaghan's Municipal Districts.

There is currently seven councillors representing the Monaghan MD, and five representing the Clones - Ballybay MD.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr. PJ O'Hanlon said that each district should have their "fair share" of councillors.

The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council believes district within the county should have six councillors.
