Members of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District recently received an update on the local bus link service from Ballyjamesduff to Cavan. The matter was yet again brought to the fore by Cllr Trevor Smith. The local authority was informed by TFI that the tender process was currently still open. Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Smith said it was "hugely disappointing" to see that the project was still at tender stage, highlighting the inconvenience that it has caused, particularly when it comes to younger people who are attending college or work.
The Fine Gael representative believes that the process has already taken "too long." Cllr Smith says that the people of Ballyjamesduff feel "forgotten about" when it comes to adequate transport services.
