A local councillor has raised an issue of speeding on a laneway in Ballyjamesduff.
Cllr Noel Connell raised the safety issue on the L7132 at the most recent sitting of Ballyjamesduff Municipal District.
He says motorists are travelling at excessive speeds on the route which is now a 60km zone. The local councillor says he has been contacted by residents in the area who say they are fearful of walking out of their homes due to the speed vehicles are travelling at.
Cllr Connell raised the issue to see what can be done to slow down motorists travelling on the lane that runs along the mart in the town. The Sinn Fein Councillor says drivers need to think safety at all times.
