Cavan town dropped in status during the most recent IBAL rankings and concerns over this were raised during Tuesday's Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District Meeting.
Cllr John Paul Feley highlighted to those gathered that the town had in fact dropped a category and was now classed as 'moderately littered'.
He says that Cavan Tidy Towns and the local authority will work together to reach a satisfactory outcome.
