A local man is urging pedestrians to ensure they are wearing high-vis jackets.
Noel Hartnett from Cootehill believes some pedestrians are lacking awareness of their own safety.
He told his story of seeing people out walking, dressed in top of the range running and walking gear but have no high-vis so they can't be seen.

Noel believes it can so easily become a dangerous situation if they step out for a brief moment to avoid a pebble or something similar.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Noel explained the danger.
