A Monaghan student says the cost of living is always something in the back of his head as he thinks about moving forward to college.
17 year old Matthew McQuaid, was a part of a groups of 60 young people who were sought from every local authority to take part in Seanad na nOg in November of last year.
This was to mark to 100th year since the first sitting of the upper house of Ireland's Parliament.
The young people discussed the priorities they identified for the Government to consider as part of Ireland's overall priorities for the EU Presidency this year.
These included, peace and security, climate action, education & youth, cost of Living, substance misuse, children in care, and equality.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Matthew explained that the cost of living is in the back of his head.
