A North Monaghan councillor has reiterated her calls for the HSE to issue urgent funding for the Errigal Truagh Special Needs Centre.
The facility requested funding that would allow them to expand the service to provide day respite for children at the weekends.
According to Cllr Bronagh McAree, this remains "a work in progress" with any correspondence from the HSE stating that the matter is still "under review."
Despite the lack of feedback from the HSE, Cllr McAree said this is something that she will continue to push.
Cllr McAree told Northern Sound that this is something she feels "very strongly about" as it is a service which is very much needed and required in the area:
