A south Armagh man who died following a two-vehicle collision on the Dundalk–Castleblayney Road on Monday evening has been named locally as Cathal Nolan from Crossmaglen.
Cathal, who was in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which involved a car and a van near Hackballscross, shortly after 10.15pm.
The other driver, a woman in her 20s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with her injuries are understood to be non life-threatening.
One friend described him online as a lovely man, a great character who loved the craic.
