Over 30 events have been taking place across the Northern Sound region to mark Culture Night, with many more set to take place this evening.
The annual all-Ireland public event, which is organised by the Arts Council, celebrates culture, creativity and the arts.
It's the 20th edition of the annual celebration tonight, and a packed schedule is promised for the Northern Sound region.
A number of free events are taking place across Co. Cavan tonight, including an evening of poetry and jazz at Cootehill library starting at 6:30pm.
Other events include a 'male voice choir' at Cavan Rugby Club from 8;30pm, and a clay wreath family workshop at Ballinagh Community Centre from 7pm to 9pm.
While a range of musical performances are in the line-up in Co. Monaghan, including a séisiún ceoil at the Corduff-Raferagh Community Centre at 9:30pm.
There will also be a 'Night at the Museum' storytelling session at Monaghan County Museum from 7pm to 8pm.
Nationally, over 1,700 events are on offer in this year's programme and admission to all Culture Night activities is free of charge.
