A Castleblayney care worker has had her car stolen from her front door two days after her brother's month's mind mass. The grey Kia Rio car was stolen from outside her home in broad daylight as she was getting ready for work between 7:15 and 7:30am on Tuesday. The owner is now unable to work as a carer with the elderly in the community.
The car was just back from the repair shop after it was damaged in a church car park as she was inside lighting candles. Her daughter says her mother has been through a tough time recently after burying her brother, paying for the repairs and now finding herself out of work.
The charcoal grey Kia Rio bore number plates in an unusual font, with the initials L. C. printed on them with the registration number 182 MN 287. The family ask anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the car to contact Castleblayney Garda Station. Alternatively, you can call a family member with information on 0834116296.
