The death has been announced of veteran sax player, singer and Broadcaster Paddy Cole, aged 85.
The Monaghan man celebrated his 85th birthday on the 17th of December.
He was known as the ‘King of the Swingers’. He fought a long battle with cancer.

In one tribute on social media in the last few minutes he has been described as a truly remarkable, talented gentleman, who will be very sadly missed by everyone in the music industry. Someone we all looked up to, admired and held in the highest regard.
