Decrease in number of covid-positive patients in hospital, both locally and nationally

There's been a drop in the number of patients in hospital with covid, both locally and nationally.

As of 8am this morning, 740 patients are in hospital with the virus.

This figure was 981 a week ago.

Locally, as of 8pm on Tuesday of this week, there were 24 PCR confirmed covid cases in Cavan General Hospital, with no patients in ICU with the virus.

A week previous, in the 12th of July, there were 35 patients with covid in Cavan Hospital, two of whom were in ICU.
