A driver is appearing in Court after being found being on opiates and without a driving licence in Cavan.
While patrolling in a built-up area, local Gardai saw a car travelling at high speed.
The driver failed to stop but was eventually stopped in the Stradone area.

They were arrested for dangerous driving, with it later found they were also disqualified from driving.
An oral fluid test at Cavan Garda Station detected opiates and they were charged to appear in Court and the vehicle seized.
